Autoplus Assist

For all Autoplus WA customers who have serviced or repaired their vehicle with us in the last six months, you are automatically covered by Autoplus Assist—our exclusive 24/7 roadside assistance program. Enjoy peace of mind knowing you’re protected from unexpected breakdowns, anytime, anywhere. Here’s what you get:

Roadside Towing

Autoplus WA Roadside Assistance – Quick Guide

Roadside Towing – Breakdown

  • For non-accident breakdowns or vehicles that won’t start, we offer towing up to 25 km or a reimbursement of $175. Accident or damage-related towing is not included.

Emergency Lockout Assistance

  • We’ll cover up to $175 for lockout services. You’ll need to pay A1 Locksmiths directly at the time and submit the paid invoice and your bank details to [email protected] for reimbursement.

Emergency Jump Start Assistance

  • If you suspect a flat battery, our tow truck drivers may attempt a jump start to get you moving or tow you back to our workshop for further inspection. Please note that jump starts are not available in all cases, as it depends on the contractor and the vehicle’s location. Due to modern battery complexities, towing to our workshop for a proper check is often recommended. Tow truck drivers do not install batteries.

Coverage Duration

  • You’re fully covered for 6 months from your service date. This coverage automatically renews with each service. For 12-month coverage options, please contact us for more information, on that note we love our customers so much we generally cover you anyway.

Autoplus WA Assist Program – Terms and Conditions

 

Autoplus WA customers who service their vehicles with us receive access to our exclusive Autoplus Assist Program. This includes a 25km towing service or a reimbursement of up to $175.00 (if towing back to us is not possible) for roadside jumpstart (not available for all areas and times) and breakdown towing. This service is complimentary for Autoplus WA customers as part of our standard package for Metro & Rural areas. Additional kilometers are charged at industry-standard rates. Please note, this service is only available to Autoplus WA customers and is not a public offering.

Towing Services

  • If our contractors are unable to tow your vehicle, you can arrange your own tow and submit the receipt to [email protected] along with your bank details. We will assess the claim, and if approved, reimburse up to $175 to your nominated account.
  • If the breakdown occurs more than 50km from our location, we will cover the first 25km of towing or reimburse up to $175 to transport the vehicle to the nearest Service Center.
  • After-hours: We can arrange vehicle storage at Autoplus WA or a third-party facility until repair services are available. Autoplus WA is not liable for any damage to vehicles stored after hours, regardless of location.
  • In cases where a second tow is required, the cost of the additional tow is the customer’s responsibility. However, Autoplus WA may, at its discretion, cover the second tow under the Autoplus Assist Program.
  • One tow is provided per breakdown, up to a maximum of 3 tows per year.

Reimbursement Procedure

  • To be eligible for reimbursement, Autoplus WA must be notified of the breakdown at the time of the incident.
  • Claims for reimbursement must be submitted within 30 days of the breakdown.
  • The original invoice for the towing service must be provided and sent to [email protected] along with your bank details.
  • Once the claim is assessed and approved, Autoplus WA will credit up to $175 to your nominated bank account.

Limitations of Towing Services

  • This program does not cover smash towing, which should be processed through your insurance.
  • Towing is available only for vehicles up to 3.5t gross weight. Vehicles heavier than this are excluded.

Jumpstart Services – If applicable

Jumpstart services are provided where possible. However, tow truck contractors are not authorised or equipped to replace vehicle batteries. If a battery replacement is needed, the vehicle must be transported to Autoplus WA or another service center at the owner’s expense.

Exclusions and Limitations

Service may be refused, or additional charges may apply in the following cases:

  • Unregistered vehicles, trucks, buses, or any vehicles used for hire or reward (e.g., taxis, limousines, rental/loan cars).
  • Pre-existing faults, including those that have already been attended to recently.
  • Vehicles requiring specialist equipment or removal from difficult locations (e.g., multi-storey or underground parking, bogged vehicles, off-road areas).
  • Vehicles involved in accidents, collisions, or sustaining malicious/criminal or flood damage.
  • Vehicles already located at a service center or repair facility.
  • Heavy vehicles, trucks, or equipment over 3.5t gross weight.
  • Additional costs such as ferry/barge fees, freight, tolls, or sea crossings.
  • Increased costs due to breakdowns in remote areas where assistance is not readily available.
  • Vehicles that are unroadworthy or modified outside of manufacturer specifications (e.g., excessively lowered or modified for racing/4WD tracks).
  • Repeated callouts due to driver-related issues or vehicle neglect, as reasonably determined by Autoplus WA or its contractors.
  • Autoplus WA reserves the right to refuse service or suspend/cancel a driver’s membership if they are deemed abusive, threatening, or attempt to deceive the Roadside Towing team or its contractors.

Remote and Rural Areas

In some remote or rural areas, it may not be possible to provide towing, jump start, or lockout services. In these rare instances, the driver will need to arrange their own assistance at their own expense.

 

Emergency Lockout Assistance – Terms and Conditions

 

Autoplus WA does not directly handle vehicle lockouts. Lockout services are provided through a third-party contractor, A1 Locksmith.

Reimbursement Process

  • Autoplus WA will reimburse up to $175.00 towards the cost of the lockout fee. The full amount must be paid directly to A1 Locksmith at the time of service.
  • To claim the reimbursement, the original invoice for the lockout must be submitted to [email protected] along with your bank details. Once approved, Autoplus WA will credit $175 to your nominated bank account.
  • Reimbursement claims must be submitted within 30 days of the lockout to be eligible.
  • The $175 reimbursement applies only once per lockout incident, up to a maximum of 2 lockouts per year.

Eligibility Requirements

  • To claim the lockout reimbursement, the individual must be an Autoplus WA customer at the time of the incident.

Liability and Damage Disclaimer

  • If the driver requests that the vehicle be forcibly entered to recover keys or belongings, Autoplus WA, A1 Locksmith, or their contractors will not be held liable for any damage that may occur during the process.

Remote and Rural Areas

  • In remote or rural areas, assistance may not be available for towing, jumpstart, or lockout services. In these cases, the driver will be responsible for arranging their own assistance at their own cost.

Exclusions and Limitations

Service may be refused, or additional charges may apply in the following cases:

  • Vehicles that have been modified from the manufacturer’s specifications, including vehicles with complex or non-standard locking systems.
  • Vehicles involved in accidents, collisions, or any criminal activity.
  • Lockouts resulting from vehicle neglect or misuse, as reasonably determined by Autoplus WA or its contractors.
