These refurbished batteries are supplied by Infinitev, graded, tested and certified, and come with a full 3-year warranty. The main difference between this and a new battery is the kilometre coverage (40,000 km vs. 200,000 km). A good option for high-km cars or if you don’t intend to keep the car long-term, but still a great quality batteryβ¦ not a compromise.
How long does a hybrid battery replacement take?
The majority of hybrid battery replacements are completed on the same day that the vehicle is dropped off. In fact, most customers have their vehicle back in the afternoon of the same day.Β
Occasionally, we may need to order a specific battery for replacement. In those cases, we’ll advise you of the expected wait time before we schedule the work. Most batteries are received within 2β3 business days.
What warranty do I get?
New Infinitev batteries come with a 3-year warranty up to 200,000 km. Our refurbished range has a 3-year warranty up to 40,000 km. All labour is also covered by our lifetime workmanship warranty. In addition you will receive 6 months free roadside assistance with all our battery replacement jobs.
Do I need to go to the dealer for a hybrid battery replacement?
You don’t have to go through a dealer to have your battery replaced. Once your vehicle is out of warranty for the hybrid battery (typically 8 years or around 160,000 km) you have options. As an authorised Infinitev partner, we use fully warrantied batteries that are replaced to factory specifications, all at up to 50% off dealer prices.
Can I still drive my car if the hybrid battery warning light is on?
Yes, you can likely continue to drive your hybrid vehicle safely in most cases. Most modern petrol-hybrid systems are designed to allow the car to keep running, but with poor fuel consumption and reduced performance.Β
Cars which are in limp mode or which refuse to start will usually need to be towed. Please ring us with a description of the fault and we will advise you whether it is safe to drive in or if we should arrange alternative transport.
